The Sudanese Security Appartus banned the leader of the communist party from traveling to Switzerland.

In the dawn of the 19th of November 2016, the security apparatus stopped Sidiq Yousuf, a leader in the Sudanese communist party and a member in its central committee from traveling abroad through Khartoum International Airport. Yousuf was going to Switzerland to conduct meetings related to his party and this is not the first time he is prevented from traveling as his right to free movement and traveling out of Sudan has been violated many times before.
In March, he was prevented from travelling to Cairo on his way to Geneva to participate in the meetings of the Universal Periodic Report (UPR) to the UN's Human Rights Council.
“I had intended to travel to Switzerland from Khartoum Airport, but the airport security agents prevented me from boarding the plane under the pretext of having my name in the travel ban list,” said Yousuf.
Yousuf considers this move as an attempt by the Sudanese authorities to tighten the grip even more on Sudanese opposition parties and considers this a violation of the constitution and the law governing political parties.


الأمن السوداني يمنع القيادي بالشيوعي صديق يوسف من السفر

منعت السلطات الأمنية فجر اليوم القيادي بالحزب الشيوعي السوداني وعضو
لجنته المركزية المهندس صديق يوسف، من السفر خارج البلاد من مطار الخرطوم،وكان يوسف في طريقه الي لعاصمة السويسرية جنيف لعقد اجتماعات حزبية خاصة بالشيوعيين بالخارج وأرجعت السلطات الامنية يوسف من المطار وتعتبر حادثة منع صديق من السفر ليست الاولي بل تعرض الي حالات عديدة خاصة بمنعه من السفر خارج السودان وفي مارس الماضي تم نع يوسف من السفر إلى القاهرة ومنها إلى جنيف للمشاركة في اجتماعات مجلس حقوق الإنسان الخاصة بالتقرير الدوري الشامل. وقبل نهاية العام الماضي ايضا تم
منع صديق من السفر إلى باريس للمشاركة في اجتماعات المعارضة.

وقال يوسف “كنت انوى السفر الى سويسرا فجر اليوم السبت من مطار الخرطوم، لكن رجال الامن بالمطار منعوني من الصعود الى الطائرة المتجهة الى جنيف بحجة وجود اسمى في قائمة الممنوعين من السفر”.
واعتبر يوسف خطوة منعه من السفر، تندر في خطوات التضييق التي تنتهجها السلطات السودانية تجاه الاحزاب المعارضة، وعدها مخالفة للدستور وقانون الاحزاب.
