السلطات تهدم كنيسة جنوب الخرطوم

أزالت قوات أمنية مشتركة، يوم الأحد 9 مايو الفائت، مبنى كنيسة المسيح التي تقع في منطقة سوبا على بعد 22 كلم جنوبي العاصمة السودانية الخرطوم.
وقال المستشار القانوني، لكنيسة المسيح السودانية، ديماس مرجان، إن قوات أمنية مشتركة، دمرت، من دون سابق إنذار في نحو الواحدة والنصف من ظهر الأحد، الحائط الخارجي للكنيسة بالإضافة إلى مكتبين تم تدميرهما جزئياً، فضلا عن هيكل الصلاة، الذي أتلف بنحو كبير خاصة الجهة الشمالية.
وأضاف ديماس، رغم امتلاكنا لأرض الكنيسة بشكل قانوني، إلا أن هذا التصرف يعد انتهاكاً واضحاً لحقوقنا المكفولة وفقا لدستور السودان الانتقالي لعام 2005، بالإضافة إلى وجود إجراءات أمام المحاكم، وإجراءات أخرى إدارية، مع المجلس الأعلى للدعوة والإرشاد، إلا أن السلطات أجرت إزالة غير قانونية بشكل تعسفي مخالف للمادة 6 من الدستور، ولم تتخذ فيه أبسط الإجراءات القانونية.
وزاد” لقد حزن رعايا الكنيسة، بشكل غير مسبوق، وذرفوا الدموع، لهذا التمييز الواضح على أساس الدين، وقالا ألسنا سودانيين ونمتلك حقوقا دستورية؟”.
وتابع ديماس ذهبنا في المساء لنيابة الأزهري المختصة بصفتي المستشار القانوني للكنيسة، لإجلاء حقيقة الأمر، لكن وكيل النيابة أخطرني، أن نيابته لم تستصدر أمرا بالإزالة.
الجدير بالذكر أن كنيسة المسيح قد تأسست في العام 1989 وتمتلك الكنيسة الأرض التي بنيت فيها، ولكن السلطات السودانية دأبت وبشكل ممنهج على استهداف ومضايقة دور العبادة غير الإسلامية وهدمها.
The Authorities Demolish a Church in the South Khartoum

Security and police forces demolished the building of Christ Church in Soba, 22 kilometers south of the Sudanese capital, Khartoum.

The legal advisor to the church, Demas Morjan, said that joint forces demolished, without prior notice, the wall of the church in addition to two offices and the prayer area which was destroyed beyond repair at about 1:30 p.m.

Demas added that the church owned the land on which the church was built and this makes this action a clear violation of their rights under the Sudanese constitution. Moreover, the act would need clear decisions at the level of the court and Higher Council for Dawa and Guidance (the body responsible for all religious institutions). The destruction of the church is a violation by the authorities of Article 6 of the constitution and the proper due process procedures were not followed.

He added “the church worshippers are now saddened, they’ve shed tears and asked why they are being discriminated against based on their religion even though they are Sudanese and have the same rights.”

Demas said that he went to the Azhari police station in the evening as he is the church’s legal advisor to investigate the matter. The head of the station told him that the police station did not issue any order to demolish the church.

The Christ Church was established in 1989 on legally purchased land. The authorities have harassed the Christian minority in recent years and have demolished a number of churches.
