الفاشر – معسكر زمزم

زار وكيل الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة لعمليات حفظ السلام جان بييرلاكروا، ومفوض السلم والأمن بالاتحاد الأفريقي إسماعيل شرقي معسكر زمزم للنازحين قرب الفاشر، شمال دارفور حيث استمعا إلى قادة النازحين بالمعسكر، وذلك في ختام زيارتهما إلي السودان.

فيما طالب النازحين بمعسكر زمزم الواقع بالقرب من الفاشر عاصمة شمال دارفور بضرورة وجود أمن و سلام دائم في دارفور حتى يتسنى لهم العودة الطوعية إلى قراهم. وذلك أثناء جلسة إستمع فيها وكيل الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة إلى قادة النازحين بالمعسكر. وقالت علوية أبكر، نائبة رئيسة النساء بمعسكر زمزم للنازحين "لدينا الرغبة في العودة إلى مناطقنا ولكن لا يمكنا ذلك لقد سيطر المسلحون على أراضينا وحواكيرنا لذلك لا يمكننا العودة إلى قرانا و مناطقنا" .

وأضاف محمد خميس دودة أحد النازحين بمعسكر زمزم "احجامنا من العودة الطوعية يعود الى وجود معوقات متمثلة في إحتلال المليشيات القبلية المدعومة من قبل الحكومة لأراضينا ، إذ منحت الحكومة أراضينا مثل منطقة تابت ، وسولبا وقلاب الى قبائل الشطية العربية. ولا تزال المليشيا تسيطر على أراضينا فلن نستطيع العودة في ظل وجود المليشيات المسلحة وعدم توفر الأمن .

وقال وكيل الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة لعمليات حفظ السلام جان بييرلاكروا للنازحين " إن الغرض من الزيارة مساعدة الاقليم و الوصول للمحتاجين ومساعدتهم " ومضى قائلاً التزامنا مع شعب دارفور سيتواصل ولكن بشكل مختلف من خلال العمل في التنمية ودعم السلام والأمن" .

The United Nations (UN) Under-Secretary-General (USG) for Peacekeeping Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, and the African Union (AU) Commissioner for Peace and Security, Ambassador Ismail Chergui, marked the end of their visit to Sudan by visiting ZamZam IDP camp outside Al-Fashir, the capital of North Darfur, where they listened to IDP community leaders in the camp.
The IDPs in ZamZam have reiterated the importane of peace and security in Darfur to enable them to engage in voluntary return to their villages. In a session the under-secretary-general had with the IDPs, Alawia Abkar, the deputy head of women’s affairs in ZamZam IDP camp said that “we have the willingness to return to our areas, but we can not do so as armed assaiants have occupied our lands making it impossible for us to go back.”
Mohamed Khamis Doda, an IDP in ZamZam said that “we refuse any voluntary return attempts because armed militas supported by the governent are occupying our lands, the govenrment has given our land in Tabit, Sabola and Golab to an Arab tribe called Al-Shaita. The militas remain in control of our lands and we can not go back due to the insecurity.”
The United Nations (UN) Under-Secretary-General (USG) for Peacekeeping Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, has told the IDPs that ” the purpose of this visit is to help the region and access those in need of help.” He continued to say that, “our committment to the people of Darfur will continue, but in a different way, through our work in development and supporting peace and security,”
