أمطار تتسبب في مصرع شخصين وتشريد مئات الأسر بنيالا

أدى هطول أمطار غزيرة مصحوبة بعواصف يوم الخميس الى مصرع شخصين وإصابة آخرين وفقدان مئات الأسر للمأوى في ضاحية غرب الإذاعة بمدينة نيالا عاصمة ولاية جنوب دارفور. وقال رئيس اللجنة الشعبية بالحي المنكوب إسحق سليمان الدود إن أمطارا غزيرة هطلت في وقت متأخر من ليلة الخميس أدت إلى وفاة شخصين وإصابة أربعة آخرين بإصابات خطيرة تم إسعافهم إلى المستشفى. وأضاف الدود أن الأمطار المصحوبة بالرياح دمرت نحو 450 منزل في خمسة مربعات بالحي. وأوضح أن معظم المنازل تدمرت بشكل كامل ما ترك العديد من الأسر في العراء بلا مأوى. وأشار الى أن غالبية الأسر من الفقراء وذوي الدخل المحدود ما يتطلب تضافر جهود الجهات الرسمية والشعبية لمساعدة المتضررين عاجلا.

Ishaq Suleiman, the local chairperson of Garib Al-Izzaha in Niyala town the capital of the state of South Darfur, reported that heavy rains and storms that began late on Thursday night swept away 450 homes, injured some people and killed two civilians.
He also said that the situation was worsened by the fact that the civilians were already poor and they needed immediate assistance as the storms left them with nothing. He then implored the government and the rest of the community to join efforts so as to give emergency relief aid to those affected.
