Gold Mining Dispute:
On 5th October 2019 number of Talodi residents organized a protest against the gold mining companies in the area allegedly belong to the Rapid Support Forces and the Security forces, for use of chemicals harmful to the environment, clashes erupted between the protesters and the security forces that resulted in the death of three security personnel and six people sustained injuries.
The name of those injured were: Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed Koko Daldom, Bashir Bella Bella Idris, Sheikh Rajab Al-Baroud, Mohamad Abd Allah Altejani, Adam Tutu Saeed, Sharaf Al-Din Fadl, Hassan Mohamed Bajouri, Ahmed Abu Kalam Abu Ras.
