حريق يقضي على معسكر النيم بالضعين

في صباح الأثنين الموافق 9 أبريل 2018 إندلع حريق فى معسكر النيم للنازحين شمال مدينة الضعين حيث قضى على أكثر من 700 منزلاً بكامل محتوياتها ، الى جانب إلتهام الحريق كميات كبيرة من المحاصيل الزراعية ، وعدد من المواشي لم يتم حصرها بعد . وقال أحد المتضررين أن الحريق شب فى العاشرة من صباح الاثنين من الناحية الشرقية للمعسكر وامتدت ألسنة النيران لتقضي على حوالى 750 منزلاً بجانب مدرسة السلام الأساسية. وأشار إلى أن الحريق شرد أكثر من 3 ألف شخص ، يعيشون حاليا في العراء بلا مأوى أو غذاء أو غطاء. ومضى قائلاً أن الحريق هو الثالث خلال ثلاث أشهر وأوضح أن عمليات حصر الخسائر التي تقدر بآلاف الجنيهات لا زالت جارية. وقال أن الطامة الكبرى أن سيارات الإطفاء متوقفة تماماً بحجة انعدام الوقود، وناشد السلطات والمنظمات بمد يد العون للمتضررين .

Fire burns down the camp of Neem

On the morning of Monday 9th April, 2018, large fires broke out at the camp of Neem and burned down 700 settlements to ashes, it also burned down the food stores where they had kept their harvest as well as the kraals of their livestock and the number of livestock that perished is still unknown.
The fire left about 3000 people displaced and are now living in an open field with shortage of food. This was the third outbreak with in the period of three months. The residents were unable to put out the fire because the firetrucks were out of fuel so they had to put it out themselves. The members of the camp are asking for assistance from the general public and damages of fire is still yet to estimated.
