شهدت كسلا يوم 28/3/2014 الساعة 4 مساء حادثة إعتقال مجموعة من طلاب جامعة كسلا يقدر عددهم ١٦ طالب كانوا في طريقهم من الجامعة لسوق كسلا حيث إعترضتهم قوة من جهاز الأمن بالقرب من رئاسة أمن الولاية وقامت القوة بإجبار البوكس الذي كان يحمل الطلاب لدخول مباني الجهاز وأطلق سراح بعضهم ومازال ٥ من الطلاب رهن الإعتقال داخل زنازين الأمن والمخابرات

Kassala state Witnessed an incident of arrest of group of 16 students from Kassala University during their way to the market from the University where they were intercepted by security apparatus close to the head quarter of the state security as the security apparatus forced the vehicle that was carrying the students to enter the state security premises some of them were released and 5 still under detention.
